Spiritual Formation

Mission Statement: “Forming future shepherds after the Lord’s own Heart”

Spiritual formation is the integral part of the preparatory years of the seminarians. We believe that the seminarians forge a deeper understanding of their vocation through it. Consequently, the seminary gives a particular attention to its spiritual formation.

St. Teresa’s Minor Seminary also seeks to help and motivate the seminarian in his effort to establish and foster personal and intimate relationship with God the Father in Jesus Christ, His Son, through the Holy Spirit.

Through the daily readings of Sacred Scripture and Traditions of the Church, daily celebration of the Eucharist, devotion to Mary, the Mother of God and the Church, and devotions to the Saints and spiritual directions, the seminarian nourishes his relationship and union with God.

Through the inter-related components of priestly formation – spiritual, human, intellectual and pastoral – the Seminary strives to form and train seminarians called as future priests to be active and living images of Jesus Christ, men of deep faith, hope, love and humility who would graciously sacrifice all they are and have to the service of their Master and Lord Jesus Christ in the Church.

The Seminary also organizes different spiritual activities for the seminarians. These include retreats, recollections, prayer sessions, peer sharing of spiritual experiences and spiritual directions and guidance.
There are other spiritual societies like Legion of Mary, League of Tarsicians, Charismatic group and others that help the seminarians to unearth their gifts.
